  • Is BAP a Good Fit For Us?

    BAP may be a good fit if your child:

    • Feels overwhelmed in large classrooms
    • Needs repetition and mastery before moving forward
    • Benefits from visual schedules and predictable routines
    • Needs behavioral or regulation support embedded into learning
    • Is homeschooled and needs collaborative academic structure
  • What To Expect After Contact?

    1. Initial phone consultation (15–20 minutes) 
    2. Review of student strengths and goals 
    3. Recommendation for services 
    4. Enrollment and scheduling
  • What Are Your Hours of Operation?

    Regular School Year Schedule

    • September – July
 
    • Tuesday – Friday

    The academic year begins the day after Labor Day and concludes the Friday before Memorial Day.


    Specific daily instructional hours will be provided upon enrollment to ensure the best fit for each learner.

  • What Holidays Do You Observe?

    • Labor Day
    • Veteran’s Day
    • Thanksgiving Day
    • Christmas Day
    • New Year’s Day
    • President’s Day
    • Martin Luther King Day
    • Memorial Day
    • Independence Day
  • Does BAP Support Seasonal Breaks?

    Yes!

    • Fall Break – One full week during Thanksgiving
    • Winter Break – Two weeks including Christmas and New Year’s
    • Spring Break – Two weeks beginning the last week of March
    • August Closure – Entire month reserved for program planning and professional development
  • Do You Offer Summer School?

    Yes.


    Basic Academics & Play offers targeted summer sessions during:

    • The last two weeks of June
    • The last two weeks of July

    Summer programming focuses on:

    • Skill maintenance
    • Targeted intervention
    • Regression prevention
    • Continued regulation and structure
    • Summer enrollment may be limited and prioritized for current families.
  • What Ages Do You Serve?

    • We serve elementary-aged students who require specialized academic and behavioral support beyond traditional tutoring.
    • Our program is especially supportive for:
    • Students with autism spectrum differences
    • Learners with executive functioning challenges
    • Students with attention or regulation needs
    • Homeschool families seeking structured academic planning
    • Students working below grade level who need mastery-based progression
  • Do You Serve Older Students?

    Yes. While Basic Academics & Play primarily focuses on elementary-aged learners, we will consider serving older students based on individual needs and consultation.


    Placement is determined by:

    • Academic level
    • Support needs
    • Program fit
    • Current enrollment capacity

    We encourage families of older students to schedule a consultation to determine if BAP is the right environment.
